The global workwear firm has opened the only plant in Sweden that is capable of processing GMP grade A/B garments

Elis Cleanroom has opened the only cleanroom plant in Sweden capable of processing GMP grade A/B garments.

The new site in Nyköping has a dedicated and highly trained workforce to process customers' cleanroom needs, whether it be garments, mops, goggles etc.

What happens in Nyköping?

Elis explains in a company video that every day 5,000 kg of garments arrive at the plant for processing in ISO Class 5 or 8 cleanrooms.

"Each garment batch goes through a validated designated wash and dry process, with barrier washing machines to significantly reduce the risk of cross contamination."

"Items are then folded and packed according to customer specifications in plastic or autoclave bags."
