Kingspan Insulated Panels launches Cleanroom Systems business unit

Published: 8-Oct-2015

Will offer the best of the Kingspan and Isocab Retan businesses to offer solutions tailored to the cleanroom sector

Kingspan Insulated Panels has launched a new business unit that provides a range of systems for use in cleanroom environments. Building on its acquisition of Isocab Retan in 2012, Kingspan says Cleanroom Systems' products combine unrivalled panel performance with the innovative technology required to meet the most stringent cleanroom specifications.

'Through a blend of enhanced envelope systems, integrated energy solutions, and best-in-class customer support, Kingspan has built a reputation for delivering optimised building performance. We are excited to now bring our 50 years of expertise and innovation to customers in the cleanroom sector,' said Gilbert McCarthy, Managing Director, Kingspan Insulated Panels.

Kingspan has invested almost £5m in product development and in manufacturing capability to support the launch.

'In launching Cleanroom Systems, we’ve brought together the best of the Kingspan and Isocab Retan businesses to offer market leading and highly innovative solutions that are tailored to the specific technical requirements of the cleanroom sector,' added Greg Flynn, Business Unit Director, Cleanroom Systems, Kingspan Insulated Panels.

The UK company is launching the new business with products that meet the highest industry standards across all classifications of cleanroom environments: the UltraTech product suite comprising the Flush, Semi-Flush and Precision ranges of integrated panels, doors, windows, hatches and interfaces.

The Flush and Semi-Flush panels will use the company's recently launched IPN-QuadCore, which delivers optimised thermal, environmental and fire performance. IPN-QuadCore is the first closed cell insulated panel core to be certified to FM 4882 for use in smoke-sensitive occupancies, making it suitable for use in high-specification cleanroom environments.

Cleanroom Systems' solutions will feature HYGIENEsafe anti-bacterial coating. This complements the company’s CLEANsafe coatings, which have been developed to suit various specialised applications.

From project design to completion, Kingspan will support customers globally across the pharmaceutical, medical, electronics, cosmetics and aerospace sectors, as well as all other industries with cleanroom requirements.
