Combines pioneering concepts in cleanroom technology with current practice while promoting international, cross-industry exchange

Messe Frankfurt is expecting lots of new faces at the second Cleanzone on 22 and 23 October 2013; companies such as Basan - the cleanroom company, Karba mge, KWP Kunststoff-Werk-Plur, Spetec and Pedak Meettechniek have already registered for this trade fair in Frankfurt.

Cleanzone is the new internationally oriented cross-sector meeting place for cleanroom technology. The event is organised by Messe Frankfurt, with Reinraum-Akademie (Leipzig) serving as a marketing and content partner. The debut in October 2012 drew participants from 13 countries to Frankfurt, and both the trade fair and congress earned top marks: 89% of visitors and 84% of exhibitors were ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ with the event's debut; 46% of visitors were from top management, and 88% stated that they were able to influence purchasing and procurement decisions in their companies.

Both the international scope and thematic range of the trade fair and congress are to be expanded in their second year. The next Cleanzone will be taking place on 22 and 23 October 2013 in Hall 1.1 of the Frankfurt exhibition grounds alongside CPhI, the world's leading trade fair for pharmaceutical ingredients.

By launching this new event, Messe Frankfurt has responded to the growing importance of this interdisciplinary technology in an increasing number of industries worldwide, with small- and medium-sized enterprises in particular discovering the advantages of innovative cleanroom solutions. The organiser is expecting some 1,000 international visitors from all the relevant sectors of industry and high-tech production, including representatives from the pharmaceuticals, food, automotive, micro-technology, electronics and precision engineering industries.

A pioneering concept

Exhibitors are especially drawn by the fact that Cleanzone combines pioneering concepts in cleanroom technology with current practice while promoting international, cross-industry exchange. With the Cleanzone Plaza event stage and the congress taking place alongside the trade fair, for example, it offers two differentiated forums for knowledge transfer, deliberately focusing on the specific requirements of various user industries.

’The industry was impressed by the first Cleanzone. We are continuing to receive very positive feedback, and are pleased that we will not only be greeting new exhibitors in October, but also pioneers from the debut event in 2012,’ said Johannes Schmid-Wiedersheim, Director of New Events at Messe Frankfurt Exhibition.

Last year more than 40 international firms exhibited at Cleanzone. They were particularly pleased by the outstanding quality of the trade visitors, emphasising how they had also been able to reach new international customers in Frankfurt. Among the companies who have already signed on as exhibitors for 2013 are Assa Abloy Entrance Systems, BSR Ingenieurbüro, CAS Clean-Air-Service, Colandis, Decontam, Dittel Engineering, Dycem, Hydroflex, Particle Measuring Systems, Profi-con, Reinraum-Akademie and WISAG. The Austrian Cleanroom Society (ÖRRG) will also be on hand once again, and is being joined by Comprei Cleanroom Competence Center, Cleangrad, Jack Filter and Niotronic Hard- & Software.
