Acquisition Systems has formed a new division, Pharmagraph, to focus exclusively on the pharma sector

As part of an expansion programme, Acquisition Systems has formed a new division, Pharmagraph, to focus exclusively on the provision of environmental monitoring systems to the pharmaceutical industry.

Having supplied and installed systems for some 13 years, UK-based Acquisition Systems says it has developed a "profound knowledge of pharmaceutical monitoring requirements, including GMP-related issues such as qualification and validation".

According to Ken McWilliam, marketing manager at Pharmagraph: "The emergence of 21 CFR part 11 was a turning point for us; we had to decide to either back off or get to grips with it". 21 CFR part 11 compliant systems are now said to form an important part of Acquisition Systems' solutions.

Pharmagraph extends the capabilities offered by its parent, "providing complete monitoring solutions, from supply of sensors and installation, through to qualification, training and maintenance". Systems range in size from a single particle counter monitoring a hospital pharmacy, up to many hundreds of inputs incorporating particle counts, temperature, humidity and differential pressure measurements across an entire production facility.
