Vikan acquires Remco Products
The supplier of hygienic cleaning products for the food and beverage industry extends its reach into the US market and lays the foundation for further growth in the region
Vikan has announced the acquisition of Remco Products, its US partner and producer of colour-coded food handling tools. The supplier of hygienic cleaning products for the food and beverage industry said it will also open a new manufacturing facility in the US as part of its strategic growth plans.
Commenting on the deal, Carsten Bo Pedersen, Vikan CEO, said: “We have long considered Remco to be part of the Vikan family, and we are eager to continue to work more closely with the Remco team to further service the US market and our customers.
“By adding world-class manufacturing capability combined with a dedicated presence in the region with Remco, Vikan is today positioned to provide even more value to our customer base.”
As part of the acquisition plan, Remco will continue to be operated by its current employees, and Michael Garrison will remain as president of the company.
“Vikan has an unmatched reputation in the industry and I’m confident the synergies between Vikan and Remco in product development, marketing, sales and distribution combined with exceptional customer support, will contribute to the success of the overall organization,” said Garrison.
Remco has been a distributor of Vikan products as well as their own hygienic shovels, scoops and scrapers, for more than 30 years and provides full sales support and delivery across the US and Canada.
