The engineering and process automation company for the pharma industry has planned a new 30,000 sqft facility in the UK helped by Clowes Development

3P has invested £5 million ($6.6m) on a second purpose-built facility in Warwick to expand operations.

The engineering and process automation company, 3P Innovation, cut the sod of their second purpose-built facility in Warwick in March 2022. The company provides engineering and process automation services to those in the pharmaceuticals, medical devices, personal care industries and more.

3P has continued to grow over the last few years, leading to an investment of £5m into an eco-friendly 30,000 sqft purpose-built facility, doubling the size of their premise again.

3P's management team and representatives of the Employee Council gathered on Monday to cut the sod at the new development site, which will expand the company's UK and International operations. The company was also joined by the team at Clowes Development to cut the sod.

The new site

The new site, being built by Clowes Developments, will be a 30,000 sqft purpose-built facility, taking the 3P premises to a combined total of 60,000 sqft of both office and workshop space. This move will allow for 3P's workforce to double in size.

Construction contractors, Benniman have started preparing the ground for the new development, and the building is expected to be ready to move into during Q1 2023.

At least £350,000 of that investment will be dedicated to making the building greener

Paul Shanley, Consultant at Clowes Developments, said: "It is great to see an existing occupier at Tournament Fields thriving and expanding. We are delighted with the success 3P have experienced whilst located here and we are looking forward to helping them evolve further with their brand-new premises."

Commenting on this, 3P's Managing Director, Nick Brooks said: "This new chapter is an exciting one for us. After outgrowing our current purpose-built facility in just three years, we needed to invest in another premises to enable our continued growth."

Brooks added."3P innovation has invested £5m into this development, with at least £350,000 of that investment dedicated to making the building greener."

Brooks explained that they would be following the steps taken with the development of its other current facilities. &"We have consciously chosen to reduce our carbon footprint by adding solar panels, led-efficient lighting, a variable speed air compressor to reduce energy usage and energy-efficient air conditioning and heating to our new premises."
