Follows merger with IVT Software, which will facilitate international expansion

HWI Global, a US specialist in cleanroom design engineering and construction, which recently merged with education software firm IVT Software, has implemented its C3 SmartRoom Information Management Solution in the sterile compounding pharmacy of the Taussig Cancer Institute at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

The Taussig Cancer Institute provides care for cancer patients and is at the forefront of new and emerging clinical, translational and basic cancer research. HWI provided a USP 797 compliant cleanroom at Taussig in 2009.

Deric Haddad, chief executive of HWI Global, said the C3 SmartRoom system would give the Cleveland Clinic automated compliance control by ensuring and validating that it remains in compliance, eliminating the risk of undocumented legal exposure caused by unexpected faults in its facility systems.

Haddad said the merger with IVT Software was HWI’s first step towards raising capital for global expansion and facilitating the introduction of the C3 SmartRoom system to international markets.

HWI works with clients in the life science, health science, nanotechnology, electronics and aerospace industries. From low volume sterile compounding to high volume manufacturing and packaging applications, the company provides value-engineered solutions for any custom cleanroom condition.
