Byotrol launches sanitisation six
Launches six products to combat MRSA in care homes
Byotrol has launched a range of six products specifically designed to combat the spread of MRSA in care homes. The range offers long lasting sanitisation and deodorisation in a variety of situations and on a variety of surfaces and furnishings.
All products have been proven through independent testing to be effective for up to seven days against a broad spectrum of micro-organisms, including MRSA, E. coli, Legionella and Listeria.
Three 750ml trigger spray products are offered: a 600ml pump-action sanitising hand mousse dispenser; a sanitising wipe product and a 50ml personal hand-held dispenser. The products are not toxic to humans and do not promote resistance in susceptible micro-organisms. They can be used on a wide variety of fabrics and materials and do not damage or mark the materials during or after usage.
The products employ a patented technology that has a four-stage effect on micro-organisms. First, component biocides attack micro-organisms on a surface as soon as the product is applied. The product then conditions the surface in such a way as to disrupt the “pervading surface tension regime” and thus the secretion compounds involved in the micro-organisms’ attempts to form a biofilm in order to stick to the surface. The residual, long-lasting biocidal action provided by the products will burst the organism’s membrane before it is able to reproduce.
