Caverion has been selected as the technical construction and installation partner for the new Kouvola data centre in Finland

Caverion and Hyperco Fin HoldCo 1, the project company behind the Kouvola data centre initiative, has signed an agreement to deliver comprehensive technical infrastructure works.

"Data centres are a rapidly growing segment and an important part of Assemblin Caverion Group's strategy. Our position in the market is strong,” said Jacob Götzsche, Executive Chairman at Caverion Group.

Under the agreement, Caverion will be responsible for a wide range of critical systems, including cooling, ventilation, fire alarm, fire extinguishing and smoke extraction systems, as well as electrical and HVAC installations.

The assignment also covers the internal construction of data centre rooms.

The company also highlighted Finland’s competitive advantages for data infrastructure development, citing the country’s safe and predictable operating environment, cool climate, and reliable power and connectivity as key enablers for investment in large‑scale digital infrastructure.

In addition to its role on the Kouvola data centre, Caverion has recently been appointed to deliver comprehensive building solutions and technical systems for the new Technopolis research building in Otaniemi, Espoo.

The facility includes laboratory spaces, advanced automation and specialised systems such as refrigeration and fume hood control.

The company is also undertaking the design and construction of a 4,200 sqm ISO Class 8 cleanroom facility for electronics manufacturer Semikron Danfoss in Flensburg, Germany.
