Profile
CCMatting is an industry-leading manufacturer, global distributor and installer of its own range of heavy duty contamination control matting, purpose-built for environments where particulate and microbial ingress control is non-negotiable. CCMatting was founded by Brendan Neary in February 2018. From the outset, the company set out to develop a contamination control matting solution that would outperform anything else on the market — engineered for superior particulate removal and durability, while delivering the highest levels of compliance and efficacy available in the industry.
In February 2026, CCMatting brought to market a reusable/recyclable alternative that not only exceeds industry standards for performance, but does so as cost-effectively as possible, backed by a level of customer service unmatched in the sector.
The company's static-dissipative, anti-microbial matting solutions are designed specifically for the demands of Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences (including GMP Annex 1 compliance), Medical Device Manufacturing, Semiconductor and Microelectronics, Data Centres and High-Tech Facilities, and Aerospace and Advanced Laboratories — sectors where contamination control isn't just a matter of cleanliness, but of product integrity, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
CCMatting is now offering this service in the UK, with a permanent Sales Manager and full installation team on hand to satisfy all contamination control requirements.

What are polymeric contamination control mats and how do they work:
A CCMatting contamination control mat is a reusable, high-performance polymeric mat designed to sit at entry points to cleanrooms, controlled environments, or other contamination-sensitive facilities, and to strip particulate and microbial contamination off footwear and wheels (trolleys, carts, forklifts and mobile pallet trucks) before it can be carried further into the space.
Here's how they work, step by step:
Multi-step particulate capture
Rather than relying on a single adhesive surface, the mats work across six full contact steps. Each time a foot or wheel makes contact with the mat, a portion of the surface contamination is mechanically transferred to the mat's surface and retained. By the time someone has walked across the full mat, up to 99.9% of foot- and wheel-borne particulate has been captured — far more effective than a single flat "wipe" or one-off adhesive layer/peel off mat. Due to the technologically advanced manufacturing process, a phenomenon known as Van der Waals forces occurs – a high level of short-range electromagnetic forces. This phenomenon enables the mat to attract and retain particulate from over 100 microns down to 0.2 microns.
Polymer surface technology, not adhesive
Unlike disposable tacky mats, which rely on a sticky adhesive layer that's peeled away sheet-by-sheet (generating plastic waste and shedding micro-particulates and airborne debris in the process), CCMatting's surface is engineered from a durable polymer. It doesn't rely on stickiness to work, which means performance stays consistent over the mat's working life rather than degrading as adhesive layers get dirty or worn.
What separates CCMatting from the competition – Technical:
There are several core technical aspects to the CCMatting product which separate it from the pack:
- Point Load Bearing – 130kg/cm2. Perfectly suited to withstand heavy loads and traffic.
- AFG Material Removal Rate @ 1000N – 132.4N. When placed under load, CCMatting's Heavy Duty mat removes more particulate than competing products.
- Slip Rating in the Wet – PTV 57. CCMatting's Heavy Duty mat has the highest Pendulum Test Value in the wet compared to any other form of polymeric matting.
- Static Dissipative/Surface Resistivity 10 10(Ω/sq).
- Addmaster 999 Silver Biocide impregnated.

What separates CCMatting from the competition – Compliance/Efficacy:
There are several core compliance/efficacy aspects to the CCMatting product which separate it from the pack:
- ISO CLASS 5 APPROVED CERTIFICATION – CCMatting is the only global contamination control matting manufacturer with this level of certification. This gives the end user complete confidence that the product is suitable for any grade of cleanroom.
- Zero Outgassing as per ASTM E595 standards.
- REACH/SVHC Compliant.
- ISO 9001/45001 CERTIFIED.
