Handwashing is key to avoiding micro-biological cross-contamination, but most personnel need to be taught the importance of hand cleaning and how to perform washing and disinfection correctly.

By getting workers to press their fingers on the agar surface of Maxi Contact Plates from International Pbi they can see, after 24-48 hrs of incubation, the colonies on the agar that show the microbiological contamination. Trainers can also gauge the skill of the operator in hand washing. The Maxi Contact Plates are available with different nutrient media, including Tryptone Soy Agar and Sabouraud Dextrose Agar.
