CRC seals £3.7m cleanroom contract
Clean Room Construction (CRC) has been awarded a £3.7m contract to design and build a cleanroom facility on behalf of Advanced Medical Solutions (AMS), a medical technology company based in Winsford, Cheshire.
AMS develops advanced wound care dressings containing silver and seaweed and tissue adhesives for wound closure. The company supplies them throughout the NHS in the UK and globally through a network of distributors and partners.
CRC began detailed design work for the 4,000sq m facility in January and work on site is due to start in April, with completion scheduled for the end of 2009.
This latest contract follows other projects completed by CRC, including production cleanrooms and laboratories at Shield Medicare’s new manufacturing facility in South Wales, a new Class 1000 cleanroom facility for Cambridge Display Technology and the Centre for Nanoscience at the University of Cambridge.
