Suffolk-based cleanroom design expert Guardtech Group has launched the new “Cleancube Configurator”, a digital tool designed to make ordering portable container cleanrooms easier

Suffolk-based cleanroom design and build specialist Guardtech Group has launched its new Cleancube Configurator.

The new offering is a digital tool designed to make specifying and ordering portable container cleanrooms faster, more flexible, and more user‑friendly.

Unlike the company’s earlier Isopod Configurator, Cleancube uses representative imagery to guide users through each stage, capturing detailed client requirements for facility size, functional and environmental criteria, flooring, airlocks, doors, ISO‑grade furniture, HVAC, utilities, and more.

“Whilst this new Cleancube Configurator is less intuitive, in terms of how the different images build throughout, it should still serve as a super-useful online tool for customers to flesh out an initial enquiry with us,” said Mark Wheeler, Commercial Director at Guardtech Group.

What is unique about the Cleancube?

The Cleancube Configurator allows clients to build detailed specifications for their ideal CleanCube facility by selecting from a suite of base models and customisations.

Users can tailor not just facility size but also functional and environmental criteria.

Options extend from flooring finishes and personnel/material airlocks to rapid‑rise doors and Guardware ISO‑grade furniture and equipment.

The configurator also captures critical structural, mechanical, and electrical details, from illumination and environmental classification to HVAC parameters, environmental monitoring, power/data infrastructure, and additional services such as compressed air, extraction, and purified utilities.

The company plans future upgrades to bring the Cleancube tool closer to the real‑time, visual style of the Isopod Configurator, but for now, this version represents an important step toward speeding procurement cycles and reducing ambiguity in early project stages.

Broader cleanroom portfolio

Cleancube facilities are part of Guardtech’s wider modular and rapid-deployment cleanroom offerings for life sciences and advanced manufacturing.

Last year, the company delivered several large-scale mobile units, including a 300 sqm facility for Oxitec’s genetic-modification programme in Djibouti.

The new Cleancube Configurator makes it easier for customers to specify and order container cleanrooms, bringing planning and procurement earlier in the project process.
