The cleanroom PPE manufacturer has enhanced the design of its cleanroom gowns with a new hood, which it says is safer and offers more comfort

Driven by user insight and backed by thorough testing, Isofield has released upgraded vista and horizon hoods that it says offer smarter protection and greater comfort.

The hood features a postbox design with a flat top, which fully covers the forehead and allows for enhanced peripheral vision.

To improve comfort during long shifts, Isofield uses half-face elastic around the chin area only.

This relieves pressure from the forehead and cheeks while still delivering a secure, snug fit, ideal for prolonged wear without compromising on protective performance.

Isofield stated on LinkedIn that the enhancements support cleaner, safer workflows by minimising skin exposure and improving operator visibility.

The hoods are made from a low-linting, static-dissipative material called microporous polypropylene/polyethylene fabric.

The improved hood is well-suited for a broad range of high-stakes cleanroom operations. This includes operations such as pharmaceutical manufacturing and aseptic filling, medical device production, biotechnology, active compound handling, and chemotherapy drug handling.

The hoods are certified for use in GMP Grade A & B, ISO Class 4 and ISO Class 5 Cleanrooms, as well as Class 10 / Class 100 environments.

The new design has also been tested against chemotherapy agents, providing strong protection against particles and contaminants.
