The new platform, capable of producing 2,000 litres per batch, has been developed to address growing industry demand for scalable, reliable and tightly controlled cell culture media manufacturing.
According to the company, the line has been engineered to support biopharma partners across the full product lifecycle, from early clinical development through to commercial-scale production.
A core feature of the new installation is end-to-end process automation, which MediumBank says has enabled a doubling of productivity while reducing manual intervention and variability.
The automated workflow is supported by high-precision in-line weighing, delivering enhanced fill accuracy and improved batch consistency, critical factors for GMP-compliant media production.

Environmental monitoring features of the new line
Environmental control and monitoring have also been prioritised with the launch of the new line.
This is because the line incorporates real-time environmental monitoring, allowing operators to maintain continuous oversight of critical process parameters.
This is complemented by high-level cleanroom management from the source, helping to safeguard product integrity throughout filling operations.
Flexibility has been built into the system to accommodate a range of customer requirements.
The platform supports multi-specification production, enabling media formulations to be manufactured for different stages of bioprocess development without compromising quality or throughput.
MediumBank said the investment reflects a strategic focus on strengthening supply chain resilience for biopharma manufacturers at a time when demand for reliable core raw materials continues to increase.
