Most models feature a three-panel hood for enhanced compatibility with additional PPE, plus two-way zips for added on/off convenience. Storm flaps provide additional protection, while seamless shoulder and sleeve tops provide comfort and fewer entry points for contaminants.

Further options include protection against certain biohazards and nuclear particles, as well as anti-static properties and limited flame resistance through a specialist fabric coating. For comfort and ease of movement, the designs incorporate extra material in the arms and legs and some models feature knitted cuffs and an elasticated waist and ankles.
