Christeyns Food Hygiene acquires Spanish DYDSA

All staff members will remain in their roles but under the Christeyns banner

Christeyns Food Hygiene has acquired Valencia, Spain-based DYDSA.

Located close to the Betelgeux-Christeyns site, the Spanish company DYDSA is a specialist in professional detergents and cleaning products. From the 25 August, DYDSA has become part of the Belgian Christeyns Group.

The multinational carried out this transaction with the objective of carrying out part of its strategic plan for the development of its Professional Cleaning division at both national and European level.

Alain Bostoen, CEO of the Christeyns group, said: "DYDSA will fit perfectly with the Christeyns family, by strengthening our presence in Spain and by strengthening our European offer with its product portfolio. "

Since 1987, DYDSA has focused on developing and commercialising chemical products for professional cleaning and hygiene maintenance. DYDSA is active in the restaurant and hotel sector, occupational hygiene, food industry, automotive sector, laundrettes and the construction sector.

The Spanish resident company also exports its products to 11 other countries. The company is innovative in its sector and has launched a series of highly concentrated products and solid dishwasher products, among other things.

With the takeover, Christeyns welcomes about 40 new employees, divided between the factory in Potries (near Valencia, Spain) and two regional warehouses in northern and southern Spain.

DYDSA will continue its production activities in Potries under the Christeyns banner. All staff members, including Managing Director Javier Febrer, will remain in their roles.
