It offers an easy way to upgrade filling and packaging without the use of chemicals through its pulsed light sterilisation equipment

Claranor, from Avignon, France, will exhibit Drinktec (11 – 15 September in Munich, Germany) to promote its latest innovations dedicated to the beverage industry.

Among the latest industrial contamination control solutions it will have on show are:

  • Claranor Puls’Full Cap, a cap sterilisation for the most sensitive filling line: the cap is decontaminated not only inside, but also outside. Adapted for and extended shellf life (ESL) of 60 days and more
  • Claranor Essential, a cap decontamination system that is very compact and cost effective for lower speed lines (<16.000 bph)
  • Claranor Puls’Combi PET brings to the market a solution adapted for the hygienic retrofit of beverages filling lines enabling preform neck as well as cap sterilisation.

This latter offer is adapted to the soft drink market trend for products with lower CO2 protection, lower preservative levels and more nutrients, and it enables such drinks to be filled on existing lines.

The company says consumers are looking for more natural and healthy beverages. For producers, this provides production challenges as the new products are more sensitive, and thus they require the highest level of hygienic filling but on existing lines.

An easy way to upgrade packaging sterilisation lines without the use of chemicals is with the company's pulsed light equipment which offers a a high level of hygiene between the filling and packing and can be easily integrated on existing lines.

Among the benefits of pulsed light are:

  • It is a clean technology, allowing microbiological decontamination of packaging without chemicals, thus avoiding any residue in the cap or the bottle
  • It is an easy to use and economical solution, without water and with very limited energy consumption
  • it is compact and easy to integrate on existing lines
  • It is highly productive, plug and play technology with no heating time

With more than 180 units installed worldwide, including 60 in retrofit, Claranor has the expertise to integrate its pulsed light cap and preform neck sterilisers into existing lines.
