The US-based decontamination specialist has secured its first UK contract to embed its SteraMist iHP technology into modular cleanrooms

TOMI Environmental Solutions has secured its first UK contract to integrate its SteraMist ionized Hydrogen Peroxide (iHP) decontamination system into a modular cleanroom for an international pharmaceutical company.

The deal is part of a partnership with UK clean‑air specialist Total Clean Air (TCA).

TOMI’s SteraMist system will be built directly into TCA’s modular cleanroom platform, providing continuous, automated decontamination from the facility’s design stage through daily operation.

“Integrating SteraMist iHP directly into our modular cleanroom platform allows us to deliver a fully aligned, regulator-ready decontamination strategy that supports both UK and EMA expectations from day one,” said Phillip Godden, CEO of Total Clean Air.

TCA’s cleanrooms meet UK MHRA and EU EMA regulatory standards, meaning they comply with rules for safe pharmaceutical manufacturing.

By integrating decontamination into the initial design, manufacturers can avoid costly retrofits and maintain a regulator-ready contamination control strategy from day one.

The contract highlights growing demand for integrated decontamination solutions in pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing, where strict contamination control and regulatory compliance are critical.

TOMI’s SteraMist technology has already been used in hospitals, laboratories, and manufacturing facilities worldwide, and the company is expanding its Custom Engineered System (CES) and SteraMist Integrated System (SIS) offerings.

This UK project marks TOMI’s first embedded cleanroom system in the region and is intended as a model for future pharmaceutical manufacturing projects.
