Construction has started on a new cleanroom and practical teaching facility for Belgian training organisation ViTalent, with ABN Cleanroom Technology carrying out the project.
The facility is being developed to provide a professional, realistic environment in which trainees can develop practical skills for working in controlled environments.
ABN said its team is now on site delivering the cleanroom, with construction expected to continue over the coming month as ViTalent develops its upgraded learning environment.
This project unites ABN as the cleanroom builder with Biomedico, ELSCOLAB, Köttermann, Forum Office, Rowil, and Transpico to supply the lab equipment, furniture, and infrastructure, all backed by funding and training support from Co-valent and EFRO Vlaanderen.
The new facility is intended to give students greater exposure to the conditions and working practices they will encounter in operational cleanrooms, supporting training for the next generation of cleanroom operators.

New cleanroom delivered for Kreios Space
The ViTalent project comes as ABN also completes a new cleanroom facility for aerospace company Kreios Space in Spain.
The facility will support Kreios Space's work on satellite technology, including its Kreios-1 platform and Air-Breathing Electric Propulsion system for Very Low Earth Orbit missions.
Kreios Space is developing technology designed to enable satellites to operate at around 200km altitude, an orbital region that presents particular engineering challenges.
The cleanroom will provide a controlled environment for the company's aerospace manufacturing and preparation activities, where contamination control is critical to component and system performance.
The facility was delivered in early August, coinciding with Kreios Space announcing progress with its Very Low Earth Orbit technology.
Kreios says the technology enables satellites to fly lower, longer and more efficiently, unlocking sharper Earth observation imagery, higher-accuracy measurements, lower latency and improved communications.
The two projects highlight the use of controlled environments across both cleanroom training and specialist aerospace manufacturing, with ABN providing cleanroom infrastructure for different stages of the technology development and skills pipeline.
