Accelrys opens new UK HQ

Accelrys Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pharmacopeia, Inc. recently announced the opening of its new European headquarters in Cambridge, UK. The headquarters will be the base for Accelrys' European operations, and will provide services, support and training to its UK and European customers. Accelrys is a science company, providing software that is used to accelerate research and development into pharmaceuticals and chemicals. The new office enables Accelrys to centralise its UK operations, bringing together staff from smaller facilities in Cambridge, Leeds, and Oxford. The 42,000 square foot offices will house product development, marketing, sales, finance, and administration functions. "The opening of our European headquarters in Cambridge demonstrates our ongoing commitment to our UK and other European markets," said Dr. Mike Stapleton, chief operating officer of Accelrys. "This office represents a significant investment for Accelrys and will enable us to offer even better services to our customers, whilst continuing to make advances in the future of drug discovery and chemical development."
