Alcohol-free sanitiser makes waves
US-based firm Water Journey says it experienced a 500% increase in distribution of its alcohol-free cleansers in 2006.
Hands2GO, an instant hand sanitiser, was specifically formulated to avoid the harsh effects of alcohol, making it a safer choice for families and young children.
Distribution of Hands2GO has experienced its greatest increase last year since it was first introduced in 2003, the company said.
Hands2GO does not follow the alcohol-based gel formula of other sanitisers, which can be drying to the skin, odorous and flammable.
Water Journey's product is alcohol and fragrance-free and includes moisturising aloe vera and extracts of lavender and chamomile. Extensive testing by an independent laboratory has proven that Hands2GO kills 99.9% of germs on contact. Hands2GO comes in portable bottles as well as larger desktop bottles, wall dispensers, and gallon refills for institutional use.
