One of the most common routes of microbial transmission, from one area to another, is by your hands. Proper hand sanitisation is important where organisms should not be present. Steris have produced Primasol®, a water-less foaming hand sanitiser, designed for application prior to gloving for surgery, cleanrooms and other aseptic environments. Primasol® can eliminate the need for water, sinks, towels or driers in gowning rooms and its fast acting antimicrobial action keeps working for up to six hours. It has been classified by the FDA as a Personnel Handwash and Surgical Scrub, which means it is antimicrobial, fast acting and non-irritating.
