Arlington installs new system

Published: 18-Nov-2005

Arlington Packaging has installed the latest cleaning system from JohnsonDiversey for the disinfection of its COMBO returnable containers.

The ArlingtonCOMBO is a plastic bag-in-box IBC used for the storage and transportation of liquids, pastes, medicines and dairy products. It consists of an industry-recognised disinfectant, TEGO 2001, that is effective against bacteria, yeast and fungi, and kills organisms within five minutes of contact; and a Dosatron dispenser, a water-powered dosing system, which ensures accuracy in dosing the correct concentration of disinfectants. To avoid cross-contamination between industries, the containers must be cleaned and disinfected before re-use. This can be performed in Arlington's new high-hygiene cleanroom, where all bacteria is removed and the containers are made contamination-free. Harry Fairbank, director of Arlington, said: "With our cleaning facility and the new system from JohnsonDiversey, we can offer a unique service for disinfecting the COMBOs."
