Biocide coating offers fast drying

Tecaqua PU, a range of clear, water-dispersed polyurethane coatings with gloss or satin finish, is available from Boston Chemicals.

The range can now include the biocide Acticide, which provides hygienic coatings in areas subject to contamination. According to Boston Chemicals, trials in hospitals, schools and prisons have proved very satisfactory. Being water-based, the coatings are suitable for living quarters or food preparation areas. Products in the range dry quickly to give high performance coatings for floors, walls and other surfaces. The quick drying action enables several coats to be applied in a day, so that the areas are not put out of use for long.
