Bouygues Group has rebranded its subsidiary as Equans Sci-Tech to consolidate specialist delivery for life science projects and advance manufacturing

Bouygues Energies & Services Contracting has officially rebranded as Equans Sci-Tech.

The move brings the specialist contracting division fully under the Equans brand, following Bouygues Group’s acquisition of Equans in October 2022, and subsequent UK integration in 2023.

At the start of this year, the Bouygues group also brought together some of its other subsidiaries, Colas, Bouygues Construction and Bouygues Immobilier, into a new “construction division”.

Under the new Equans Sci-Tech identity, the business will focus on delivering technically complex environments across sectors including life sciences, advanced manufacturing and technology-led facilities, areas characterised by stringent regulatory requirements and high-performance building services.

Equans’ ability to design and construct environments like laboratories and cleanrooms will continue to leverage Bouygues international expertise in sustainable facilities management.

The rebrand aligns the contracting operation with Equans’ broader UK platform, which combines facilities management, HVAC, energy solutions and digital services under a single structure.

Equans’ prior work includes projects such as delivering a low-carbon living laboratory that integrates renewable energy and storage for Keele University, or designing and maintaining complex cleanroom utilities required for ASML’s advanced semiconductor manufacturing.

The transition to a unified brand completes a phased consolidation programme designed to streamline delivery and strengthen market presence.

The business operates from key UK locations, including Glasgow and Manchester and forms part of Equans’ wider multi-technical services offer, which spans energy, mechanical and electrical engineering, and digital infrastructure.

With the contracting arm now fully aligned under the Equans Sci-Tech brand, future project delivery and procurement frameworks are expected to reference Equans as the primary entity across complex infrastructure and high-specification facility projects in the UK.
