Cable-free monitoring now available for Prodigy

Tascomp, developers of Prodigy monitoring and control software, and data logger manufacturers Signatrol, have entered into collaboration to provide cable-free monitoring of cleanrooms and other installations.

A typical system comprises a base station permanently connected to a PC running Prodigy monitoring and control software and up to 200 remote monitoring stations each having up to four sensor inputs, providing 800 channels per site. Prodigy can also be networked to provide distributed access to the system if required. Tascomp says the compact remote units can be easily attached to almost any surface and will operate up to 300 metres away from the base station in a normal building application or 1000 metres with a clear line of sight. The Signatrol SL400 data logging system includes dedicated versions for temperature, relative humidity, differential pressure, light level, UV, process signals and volt-free contacts. The software is 21 CFR Part 11 compliant with enhanced facilities for user security, audit trails and file encryption.
