Claranor to showcase new technologies at Emballage 2008

A range of applications developed for conditioning food and pharmaceutical products are amongst systems from supplier Claranor that will be showcased at Emballage 2008 trade fair.

Claranor will use its presence at the Paris show (17-21 November) to launch its solution for packaging liquid food products. Claranor is working with Proaseptic Technologies, a Spanish manufacturer of ultraclean and aseptic conditioning lines in flexible containers, on the collaboration.

The two young businesses are bringing together their competence and their knowledge of industry and market needs to bring out packaging equipment that uses pulsed light to ensure the microbiological safety of thermoplastic film and caps prior to pouch formation.

Pulsed light is used in these systems to replace hydrogen peroxide, a costly and burdensome chemical solution, for which manufacturers are seeking alternatives.

The results achieved by pulsed light technology (log 4 decontamination on seals and films) make it possible as of now to offer lines for packaging products with extended shelf life.

The arrival on the market of an aseptic line incorporating pulsed light is expected in a few months.
