Cleanroom moulding machine at FAKUMA 2008

Published: 1-Aug-2008

Austrian machine manufacturer Engel will have on its stand at the injection moulders trade fair FAKUMA 2008 an ENGEL e-motion 200/55 manufacturing COC (Coccidiosis) vaccine receptacles.

The mould produced by Ko?belin of Eichstetten is designed for sterile production in a cleanroom for deployment in medical technology.

Optimised for cleanroom applications, the fully electric machine has an encapsulated barrel that helps optimise particulate and heat emissions, along with encapsulated injection unit drives and cleanroom capable, corrosion resistant mould mounting platens with cleanroom plating. On top of this, an oil return unit on the toggle lever guarantees an excellent clean look, while additionally minimising particulate emissions.

The e-motion 200/55 is fitted with a Stäubli TX40 articulated arm robot located within the machine's safeguarding to provide a highly compact production cell.

FAKUMA takes place at Friedrichshafen, Austria, from 14 to 18 October.
