Cleanroom supplies specialists combine

Two of the major players in the supply of specialist products for use in critical environments – ais Cleanroom Products and Countdown Clean Systems – have merged to create a major new force in the marketplace.

The merger brings together a wide range of specialist cleanroom products and the infrastructure to provide leading edge garment decontamination and processing services to customers operating critical environments. The new company will be known as ais Countdown and will be headed up by Ron Cozens, former managing director of Kent-based ais Cleanroom Products. He will be supported by Countdown's Malcolm Colclough in the role of operations director, while Steve Hufton, continues in his previous ais role of sales director. "The merging of our two businesses introduces into the UK for the first time a company strong in critical environment garments, processing, furniture and consumables, enhanced by our on-site facilities management service," said Cozens. "With almost 25 years' experience in the industry this is a platform to build upon and enable our future strategy to unfold."
