B. Braun Medical's Excel IV containers are clear, resilient, autoclavable products that reduce medical waste costs and eliminates hazardous emissions associated with medical waste incineration.

Made from a three-layered, biologically inert ethylene and polypropylene film specifically developed for parenteral therapies, the containers have a tough outside layer made with Eastman Chemical Company's Ecdel elastomer. This is a clear, tough copolymer that imparts strength and durability, reducing the danger of punctures. The Ecdel elastomer weighs less than competing materials, making the container lighter and ultimately reducing the overall weight of a facility's medical waste.
