Distribution deal for Trace

Quantitech has agreed an exclusive UK and Eire distributorship with Trace Analytical of the US which extends the company's capabilities in the detection of ultra-traces of impurities in air, bulk gases or process streams.

Highly sensitive to a wide range of contaminants and pollutants, Trace's Reduction Gas Detector is combined with analyte-specific gas chromatography to provide measurements with lower detection limits between <0.5ppb and 5ppb. Meanwhile, Ionicon, also represented in the UK and Eire by Quanititech, has introduced the PTR-MS which combines proton transfer reaction technology with mass spectrometry to enable detection and specification of VOCs in virtual real time. Conventionally, mass spectrometry analysis has had to be preceded by gas chromatography to aid interpretation and quantification, but the PTR-MS dispenses with the requirement for this, providing a response time measured in milliseconds.
