Erlab delivers custom laminar airflow ceiling to strengthen clean conditions in cosmetics production

The contamination control manufacturer has installed a custom laminar airflow enclosure to provide targeted ISO-level clean conditions in a cosmetics production area, without the need for a full cleanroom

Erlab, a specialist in laboratory and cleanroom solutions, has developed and deployed a custom laminar airflow enclosure designed to create a controlled environment within an existing cosmetics production space.

The system directs vertical airflow across critical work areas to reduce airborne contaminants.

The enclosure is modular and scalable, allowing the footprint to be expanded in the future without replacing the initial installation.

Erlab designed the solution to fit within the existing production layout, enabling installation with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

Rather than converting the entire room into a traditional cleanroom, the airflow ceiling provides localized ISO-level clean conditions precisely where required for sensitive handling and packaging processes.

This targeted approach enables contamination control without the capital investment or structural modifications associated with full cleanroom construction.

According to Erlab, this approach provides ISO-level environmental control where it is most needed while maintaining flexibility for future production changes.

The system has been operational for several weeks and is designed to support both immediate production requirements and potential future expansion.

The company recently doubled production capacity at its French manufacturing facility to meet increasing demand for filtration and containment systems.

It has also delivered bespoke ISO Class 5 ceiling installations for other controlled environments, including a tailored solution for medical device manufacturer Fineheart.
