Erlab makes key partnership in China for sustainable building standards

The laboratory containment and air filtration expert has made the agreement with the China Institute of Building Standard Design & Research in aid of a new national building standard designed to reduce the carbon footprint of R&D centres

In 2023, Erlab formed a partnership with the China Institute of Building Standard Design & Research (CBS).

The collaboration with the CBS is in aid of a new national building standard designed to reduce the carbon footprint of R&D centres.

This contract was signed in the presence of Mr Bruno Le Maire, French Minister of Economy and Finance, and Mr Wang Wentao, Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China.

With presences in the US, Europe and China, Erlab is the inventor of the ductless fume hood, and is an expert in air filtration for the protection of laboratory personnel. The company's input should be invaluable to the collaboration.

What is the CBS?

Founded in 1956, the CBS, was originally a scientific research institute directly under the Ministry of Construction.

In 2000, it was transformed into a central science and technology enterprise, and is now administered by China Construction Technology Consulting (CCTC).
