The cleanroom expert has secured three AI-driven data centre projects in the Frankfurt region, expected to support around 400 jobs in Germany

Exyte has been awarded three large-scale data centre projects in the Greater Frankfurt region.

The contracts, secured from international hyperscalers and leading technology companies, represent a combined order intake of nearly €750m (about $860m) for 2026.

The engineering, procurement and construction specialist said the projects will support approximately 400 roles in Germany.

Around 150 positions are expected to be filled through the redeployment of existing employees from other projects, while a further 250 roles will be recruited externally.

The projects are being delivered in the Rhine-Main region around Frankfurt, a key European data centre market that continues to attract investment from hyperscale operators seeking capacity for AI workloads and cloud services.

According to Exyte, the contracts underline the growing importance of data centres within its portfolio as demand for artificial intelligence applications drives requirements for new digital infrastructure.

Exyte noted that advanced cooling systems and optimised infrastructure designs are helping improve the efficiency of AI-ready data centres.

The company added that prefabricated and offsite construction methods can reduce waste and enhance resource efficiency during project delivery.

Project delivery is expected to continue through to 2028.

“As demand for artificial intelligence and cloud services continues to accelerate globally, scalable and resilient digital infrastructure is becoming increasingly critical to our clients’ competitiveness,” said Mark Garvey, Chief Commercial Officer of Exyte.

The company has increasingly expanded its global activities in the sector alongside its established work in semiconductors, life sciences and other high-tech industries.

In January, they completed the integration of Pharmaplan into its biopharma and life sciences division, creating a unified engineering platform for the design and delivery of GMP facilities across Europe.

Last year, the company also inaugurated a new engineering and project execution hub for semiconductor projects in "Silicon Saxony," one of Europe’s most important technology clusters.
