FTS Cleanrooms has secured a contract to design and build a 350 sqm cleanroom facility for a medical device manufacturer in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
The turnkey project will include cleanrooms classified to ISO Class 7 and 8, as well as a dedicated ISO Class 9 CNC area, according to FTS Cleanrooms.
The facility will support the manufacturing of ELISA diagnostic kits, which require controlled environmental conditions during production.
FTS said the cleanroom will provide control of temperature, humidity and particulate levels to support consistent product quality and regulatory compliance across production batches.
The project adds to FTS Cleanrooms' portfolio in Saudi Arabia, where the company provides cleanroom design, manufacturing and validation services for the medical device, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
FTS Cleanrooms said its Saudi presence will support the project alongside its wider experience delivering classified environments across the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The company is part of Fabtech Technologies, which provides cleanroom and controlled-environment solutions for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare and other manufacturing sectors.
FTS has previously delivered cleanroom projects across the region, including a 14,000 sqm turnkey facility for Himalaya Wellness in Dubai, which was completed in less than a year.
