Hemsons International and India-based Fabtech Technologies have both contributed to creating Sri Lanka’s first-ever ISO Class 7 cleanroom within a government institution

Scope of the project

The collaborative venture involved the design and installation of a fully compliant ISO Class  7 cleanroom, complete with the following critical components:

  • Cleanroom wall and ceiling panels
  • HVAC system incorporating a DX-based air handling unit (AHU)
  • Electrical panels equipped with standalone controllers
  • Cleanroom-grade lighting and associated electrical infrastructure
  • Anti-static epoxy flooring
  • Cleanroom entry air shower
  • Door interlocking system
  • Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system

This facility represents a major advancement for Sri Lanka’s public healthcare infrastructure, providing a controlled, high-grade environment essential for pharmaceutical manufacturing, research, and sensitive healthcare applications.
