Further glovebox for Sellafield Technology Centre
The Technology Centre in Sellafield has ordered a further glovebox from Nuclear Engineering Services (NES), which will be used in its fuel development laboratories.
Gloveboxes play a vital role in the containment of small-scale pilot plants at Sellafield, and the latest addition to the lab is constructed from 6mm stainless steel and will be used in connection with r&d into Molten Salts cooling techniques.
NES supply high integrity gloveboxes for the nuclear and pharmaceutical industries, and the enclosures usually house complex processing and handling equipment.
In the pharmaceutical industry, gloveboxes provide a sterile environment for handling during research and also for production plant development.
