Gelest, a US-based innovator, manufacturer, and global supplier of specialty silicones, organosilanes, metal-organics, and acrylate monomers, has completed its new production facility at its headquarters in Morrisville, Pennsylvania.
The company, a business unit of Mitsubishi Chemical Group, will officially mark the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 16, attended by company leaders, local officials, and community stakeholders.
The company’s products serve many industries, such as medical devices, life sciences, microelectronics, coatings and adhesives, and personal care.

The newly completed, 50,000 sqft facility significantly expands Gelest’s manufacturing footprint in Morrisville, which now comprises nine buildings, eight of which are located on-site.
The plant is designed to enhance the company’s production capacity and meet increasing demand for specialty materials across sectors such as microelectronics, medical devices, advanced thermal coatings, and emerging mobility solutions.
“Our main focus will be to develop and manufacture precursor chemicals for use in dry resist EUV lithography, ensuring a robust and reliable supply chain,” said Edward Kimble, Senior Business Director / General Manager at Gelest.
Dry resist EUV technology represents a critical advancement in semiconductor manufacturing, enabling the production of next-generation logic and DRAM devices.

The facility is strategically located on a revitalised US EPA Brownfield site and incorporates state-of-the-art equipment for analysis, packaging, and high-volume production of highly specialised chemistries.
