Gerbig Engineering introduces cleanroom workstation with less noise

Published: 6-Mar-2009

Gerbig Engineering, a US designer of cleanrooms and cleanroom equipment, has introduced a reduced noise crossflow clean workstation.

The unit uses multiple fans and sound deadening materials to achieve 67dBA inside the work zone. Typical competitive units on the market run 10dBA higher sound levels.

‘A number studies have indicated that even low level noise in the work environment can lead to higher levels of stress and lower task motivation,’ said Fred Gerbig, president of Gerbig Engineering. ‘Our product having a much lower noise level helps reduce these types of stresses.’

Noisy work environments can also reduce teamwork and cooperation owing to communication difficulties.

Gerbig Engineering is committed to design products that reduce energy consumption, improve efficiencies, increase layout flexibility and improve ergonomics in the cleanroom work environment.

Products include modular hard wall and softwall cleanrooms, cleanroom workstations, and pass-through units. www.gerbig.com
