Gerflor launches "once in a lifetime" product

Gerflor has introduced what it is calling "a revolutionary new surface treatment for homogeneous flooring products".

PURProtect chemically bonds to the surface of the flooring to provide a permanent, "no polish for life solution". In contrast with other PU and PUR surface treatments, PURProtect "cannot wear off" and has been proven in trials to offer up to a 50% reduction in cleaning costs over the entire lifetime of the product, in comparison with raw untreated vinyl flooring. It has a high tolerance of chemicals such as alcohol and iodine, a critical factor in healthcare and pharmaceutical laboratories, and provides abrasion and scuffing resistance, making it suitable for high traffic areas. It is currently being applied to two homogeneous ranges, Mipolam Esprit 500 and Mipolam Elegance 290.
