Glatt Ingenieurtechnik opens new branch in Germany

Engineering expert Glatt has opened the new Leipzig branch to enhance its regional footprint and position it within a dynamic industrial and academic environment

Glatt Ingenieurtechnik, a Germany-based specialist in process technology and plant engineering for the food, pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnology industries, has officially opened a new branch office in Leipzig, Germany. 

This marks a significant step in the company’s ongoing strategy to enhance its customer proximity and market presence across Germany, Central and Eastern Europe.

The new office, located on Emilienstraße in Leipzig’s south centre, extends Glatt Ingenieurtechnik’s established engineering network. 

The plant manufacturer, process expert, and engineering services provider aims to harness new customer potential in key sectors including food, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.

Ideally situated in Leipzig’s thriving growth region, the branch offers excellent transport links, with convenient access by road, rail, and via Leipzig/Halle Airport. 

Its central location provides an attractive setting for regional and international client meetings, while offering proximity to a strong talent pool and renowned scientific institutions.

The branch is currently in development, with several experienced project engineers already on board. 

Under the leadership of Dr Steffen Hillmann, the office will initially focus on projects in the food, feed, fine chemicals, and pharmaceutical engineering sectors. 

Future plans include expanding the site’s capabilities to encompass Glatt Ingenieurtechnik’s full product and service portfolio.

Dr Hillmann views the Leipzig office as a strategic asset in the company’s growth trajectory, he said: “Situated near Leipzig University of Applied Sciences, the University Hospital, the Faculty of Chemistry and Mineralogy, and the historic Bayerischer Bahnhof, we are ideally positioned at the crossroads of research, science, education, and culture.

“We intend to use this office as a hub for networking, customer engagement, and the planning and execution of new plant engineering projects in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, and food industries.”

The new branch further consolidates Glatt Ingenieurtechnik’s commitment to innovation, regional collaboration, and the strengthening of its international business relationships.
