GreenValet opt for colour coded waste bags
Star Seal technology has been used to make a new range of bags under the GreenValet brand. The bags come in orange and yellow and have been designed to reduce overfilling and spillages from clinical waste.
Orange bags are used for clinical waste destined for alternative treatment and are being introduced to address environmental concerns over emissions from incineration, as required by the new Department of Health guidelines on safe management of healthcare waste.
GreenValet is said to be one of the first clinical waste bag suppliers with orange bags meeting new labeling regulations.
The company offers industry leading flexibility including rolls and flat packed bags, three different grades: light, medium and heavy duty, large and small quantities for maximum economy and weekly delivery service direct to stores.
The new waste bag catalogue was launched at the Infection Prevention Society conference and exhibition.
The showcase included black domestic, tiger stripes, cytotoxic purple stripes, laundry bags, patient locker bags, confidential waste bags, catering and freezer bags, glass and aerosol bags and office bin liners.
GreenValet’s products and services are used in over 5,000 NHS hospital wards and departments in the UK.
