Inert valves for critical care

US manufacturer Bio-Chem Valve has launched a line of solenoid-operated valves for high-purity medical applications, which are now available in Europe from Omnifit.

The miniature Pure-Chem Valves feature an inert, all-plastic fluid path and can handle high-purity, aggressive and corrosive liquids. Applications include measuring, transferring and dispensing ingredients in the manufacturing and packaging of chemicals, food and beverages, cosmetics, cleaning solvents and adhesives.

The valves’ inert, engineered plastic construction separates the flow path of aggressive or high-purity fluid media from the solenoid, virtually eliminating corrosion, galling, contamination and mechanical failure. They feature a fast response time, high cycle life, low power consumption and minimal dead volume.
