Infection control teams invited to enter Oxoid Awards
Rewards of up to £5,000 and the prospect of international recognition are just some of the benefits infection control teams could enjoy by entering the 2007/2008 Oxoid Infection Control Team of the Year Awards.
The awards recognise and reward doctors, nurses and microbiologists in the area of infection control who strive to prevent or reduce rates of hospital-acquired infections and improve infection control procedures.
Infection control teams based both in the UK and internationally are required to submit a 1,800 to 2,500-word summary of their activity by 15 February 2008, to be in with a chance of winning the £5,000 first prize or 2nd and 3rd prizes of £1,000 and £500 respectively.
Initiated by world leading microbiology brand Oxoid in 2003, the awards will be judged by a panel drawn from the International Association of Infection Control, the Hospital Infection Society, the Infection Prevention Society (previously known as the Infection Control Nurses Association) and representatives from Oxoid.
