Aims to maintain leading position in production of aircraft components

Integrated Composites (ICI), a division of AGC Aerospace & Defense, has added a new cleanroom to its facility in Marina, California, US to enable it to produce next-generation aircraft components.

The new facility is currently configured to Class 300,000 per USAF specifications, to support ICI’s engineering research and development capability, as well as manufacturing and assembly operations.

'The addition of the new cleanroom will allow us to build virtually any composite structure to any OEM specification,' said Preston Sandusky, General Manager at ICI. 'The new facilities will play a tactical role in our commitment to maintain ICI’s position as an industry leader in innovation and production of next-generation aircraft components.'

The newly constructed cleanroom gives ICI the capability to manufacture components requiring controlled tolerances of micron level contaminates.

With an emphasis on air, sea and land-based weapon mounts, ICI operates a fully integrated design, development, and manufacturing company specialising in high-performance structures for aerospace, defence, marine, and industrial applications.
