Interpack showcase for new Claranor decontamination solutions
French decontamination solutions supplier CLARANOR is to unveil its portfolio of pulsed light technology products suited to the agrifood, pharmaceutical, and medical sectors at the international packaging sector event INTERPACK at Düsseldorf, Germany.
Pulsed light technology uses the bactericidal properties of UV waves applied to surfaces in the form of intense flashes. This technology acts as an alternative to the thermal-, chemical- or radiation-based solutions, which regulations, performance issues and environmental considerations have turned into one of today’s major headaches for businesses in the packaging sector.
Its efficacy in both direct surface treatment and treatment through water or other UV-transparent materials has made it possible for CLARANOR to industrialise the technology for the treatment of bottle caps, medical devices and water for pharmaceutical uses. Target decontamination levels vary according to the different applications between 3 and 6 log, on bacteria (both vegetative and sporulated) and on mould spores.
The trade fair runs from 24-30 April.
