Ionpure MX CEDI – the new option for small RO systems

Published: 4-Jul-2005

lonpure Technologies has introduced MX, a series of robust, leak-free, high performance water purification modules to complement smaller reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

The MX Series brings all the proven qualities and operating economies of Ionpure's LX Continuous Electrodeionisation (CEDI) to lower flow process applications. Developed specifically for flow rates of 125-500 litres/hour, the MX series is said to be ideal for light industrial, commercial and laboratory RO systems, whether wall-mounted or housed in a cabinet. A double 0-ring seal guarantees MX remains free from leaks, even under continuous operation at up to 7 bar and 45°C. As a truly chemical-free system, the company claims MX has significantly lower operating costs than alternative technologies. Resin changes are not required and the patented 'all-filled' concentrating compartment eliminates the need for brine injection and a recirculation pump. The compact design will give OEMs the opportunity to incorporate lonpure MX CEDI on existing RO skids and to deliver consistent deionised water continuously, rather than in a fluctuating batch supply. The company recently announced the new VNX Series and HWS-I (Hot Water Sanitisable – Instant) units and accessories to OEM customers worldwide.
