KIBO Kunststoffe develops anti-bacterial sheet

KIBO Kunststoffe, the German manufacturer of KIBO-H, KIBO-M and KIBO-X twin-wall polypropylene sheets, has introduced an anti-bacterial twinwall polypropylene sheet for use in hospital, other medical, cleanroom and food processing applications where bacteriological control is of key importance. KIBO-ANTIBAC has been developed in an exclusive partnership with Belgian company, Racquet Plastics, and is based on its proprietary silver-ion technology, which is effective against MRSA and many other bacterial organisms.


In independent laboratory tests undertaken by Industrial Microbiological Services (IMSL), reductions of up to 99.9% over a 24-hour period were observed in MRSA bacteria on the KIBO-ANTIBAC material.

KIBO-ANTIBAC is initially available in the KIBO-H profile – white, 2.5mm thick, 450gsm sheets, in a sheet size of 3,000mm x 2,400mm.
