Liquid Plastics boosts hygiene service offering to customers

Liquid Plastics is working with a select group of approved hygiene contractors to improve its service to customers.

The company, which manufactures high performance coatings for hygiene sensitive environments, brought together its Approved Hygiene Contractors for the first time to a meeting at Liquid Plastics’ headquarters in Lancashire.

“The aim of our AHC Programme is to allow us to offer our customers quality workmanship, to match the high quality of our hygiene coatings,” said John Moore, business development manager for Liquid Plastics’ hygiene products. “By working closely with a select group of people we can ensure that they are fully trained in the application of the coatings, and will meet the high standards set by ourselves and our clients.”

The AHC programme was launched following the introduction of Liquid Plastics’ Hygiene Coatings incorporating silver ion technology. The silver ions in the coating attack microorganisms that land on the surface in three different ways to cause the reproductive functions to break down, thus killing the cell and preventing further growth. Key benefits of the coatings are their effectiveness against a range of microorganisms, their non-leaching anti-bacterial protection throughout the life of the coating, and their elastomeric finish.

Before membership to the AHC programme is granted, contractors must meet strict criteria and agree to a Code of Practice. All approved contractors undergo dedicated training on a regular basis at Liquid Plastics’ training facilities, which benefits the customer as they are guaranteed a high quality application.
